Requirements

MUST HAVE CURRENT ELECTRICAL LICENSES.

Our client, a major player in the energy infrastructure and renewables sector, is seeking a highly capable Site Manager with a strong electrical background and proven experience delivering substation or terminal station projects. This is a contract opportunity with an immediate start and a solid pipeline of long-term, high-voltage infrastructure work across Victoria.

About the Role

As Site Manager, you’ll take full ownership of complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects on site, primarily high-voltage substations and terminal stations. You’ll be responsible for delivering safe, compliant and high-quality builds, coordinating a mix of civil, electrical and mechanical scopes from early works through commissioning.

Working closely with internal teams, contractors, and client-side representatives, you'll ensure technical execution aligns with program milestones, HSEQ standards and commercial targets.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is comfortable managing the details while keeping a clear view of overall delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead site-based delivery of electrical infrastructure projects (including substations and terminal stations) across Victoria

- Manage day-to-day operations, including planning, sequencing, scheduling and coordination of works

- Provide clear leadership to multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors across civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines

- Oversee site safety, environmental management and quality assurance, ensuring strict compliance with policies, procedures and legislation

- Work closely with project engineers and construction leads to provide input into program, constructability reviews, methodologies and resource planning

- Act as the key site contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and resolving issues proactively

- Monitor costs, manage variations, and support accurate forecasting and reporting

- Maintain effective documentation, reports and site records in line with project controls

What We’re Looking For

- Trade or tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering, construction or a related discipline

- Extensive on-site construction experience with a strong focus on substation or terminal station builds

- Deep understanding of electrical infrastructure, including HV/MV systems, switching, cabling and commissioning interfaces

- Sound knowledge of civil and mechanical interfaces relevant to energy projects

- A strong safety mindset with demonstrated experience managing HSEQ on high-risk sites

- Skilled in contractor supervision, sequencing works, and coordinating across multiple work fronts

- Excellent stakeholder communication and conflict resolution skills

Why This Role?

- Join a business committed to sustainable infrastructure and energy transition

- Deliver technically complex, high-impact projects

- Permanent role with long-term career growth opportunities

- Supportive and collaborative leadership team

- Immediate start with an ongoing pipeline of secure work
